Beyoncé - If I I bought two pair of these elsewhere on sale. Now I see why they were on sale relative to other travel brands, like Tilley and ExOfficio. These pilled up in one use, so I'm pretty sure they won't last more than two trips regardless. However, of the two pair I bought, one of the socks on the first use popped a hole in the big toe, rendering it useless and making the trip a challenge, since the purpose of travel socks is to not have to pack more than just the one pair! Had to buy more socks thanks to Columbia's poor quality control. On examination, it seemed to be the result of low quality manufacturing along the toe seam. Can't recommend Columbia products for socks, although I've had decent luck with their sun hats.
This is a sweet little shoe, but the wide sizes aren't wide enough for children with truly wide feet. I could tell with just one look that it wasn't as wide as her Stride Rite and New Balance shoes. Sure enough, she got upset when I put them on her because they hurt her feet. The wide sizes are best for kids whose feet are just a little wider than a regular size. It just won't fit chubby-footed kids like my daughter.
